Yes TUR is one of interesting trophy in the world.

Asif,

Yes you bet it seems to be a classic trophy to collect , must be fanatstic hunt routine to bag one of the TURs, what are the packages do you have to offer? PM me on d.monish@yahoo.co.in, I am quite curious to know about hunting in your region.

Thanks

Monish

Dear Monish
You are right East Caucasian Tur counts both towards the Ovis and Capra World Slams. So it is very important trophy to collectors. Tur hunting is very challenging and it is one of the most demanding trophies. Azerbaijan has the best areas and the best chance for high quality trophies of Dagestan Tur. Tur population is very strong there. It is not uncommon for hunters to see up to 150 rams a day. Average trophy is 33”-35” with some trophies up to 40” taken.
All depends when you come for hunt. May, June, July, August, September, 15 October will be only TUR hunt, yes we can try hunt to Bear, Chamois, Roe deer and wild boar (it all in same zone) but forest is dense. But from 15 October to November all is more possible. But actually in summer time get Tur is quite simple (due to good organization and experience guides)
I think you understand, we are from Azerbaijan and we have best, best prices)))) I will send off to your email.
Now I prepare new website Hunting in Azerbaijan where I will put hunting in Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Kirgizstan, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, NZ, Bulgaria and Russia.

Asif,

Thanks for all the detailed info. did recieve your PM shall revert to you , hunting TUR must be an experience in itself .

Monish

Dear Monish, yes i sent offer to you by email, yes TUR must be expensive but he is not expensive to hunt, actually I always thinking about it. Due to TUR must be expensive not only because it is nice trophy but really mountain hunt for TUR is very difficult.

Thanks Asif, I shall get back to you. The trophy photos are excellent.

Monish

Dear Bruce i sent all to you. I just back from hunting TUR in Azerbaijan with Russians and other hunters.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
