Holand & Holand 1910 Catalog

nice edd, love the prices a set of three double rifles for 225 guineas. i am sure someone out there can work out what that is in todays money.

According to Forex.com, One GB Pound Sterling in 1910 would equal 3,241 USD today. So that nice set of three double rifles would set you back 729,225 USD today. Probably much more if it had been owned by spike.t.

Neat seeing the old catalog. Thanks for posting it Edd.

but of course they would;). and thats probably what they would quote now for a set of 3 matching royal doubles with a bit of engraving on..........might phone and ask for a quote :ROFLMAO:o_O

It also puts in better perspective accounts of hunters like Bell returning from a year in the bush and selling his ivory for 600 crowns.

If I have time I am planning to stop in to H&H London next month. If I take in a copy of the catalog page do you think they will honor the 225 GBP price?

Pleasure guys!!! I enjoyed the cross eyed guns..... Wonder if there is still some of those around????

WOW!!! Thanks spike!!! Youre really on top of things hey.....

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
