Hi from India

You can hunt black buck in Texas and also in Argentina.
These animals are Schedule 1 on the Wildlife (Protection) Act and can not be hunted in India. But the trophies I have seen in my country
I have yet to see anywhere else in the world.

As a law abiding citizen of my country. I travelled half the world. Went to Argentina and shot one.I also shot a wild goat and a fallow
deer.
They have some beautiful Red Stags there. But I ran out of money. LOL.
In the snap you will see my Shikar guide skinning the black buck with the wild goat in front.

In Argentina, I was told that (in olden days) the Ladies would hunt Fallow deer. The Fallow is also called Dama deer.
The kings would hunt the Red Stag.
I was so fascinated with the beauty of the Red Stag . That finally I went to England to shoot one.

Thats about 24 inches (antlers). A decent trophy by Indian standards.

The one I shot in Argentina was about 19 inches .
The interesting thing is that the antlers were broader and shorter in Argentina when compared to India.
Probably due to a less diverse gene pool
or
Perhaps an adaptation to the colder climate.

Argentinian black buck.
Import of trophies into India is now restricted.
So I sent this one to a cousin in England.

The Indian Big 5 was banned.
Don't cry!!! You still have the Big 5 animals released ... in your country.
Here in Europa , it is illegal to hunt Big 5 under the pretext that the animals must remain in the zoo ...:biggrin2:
Truce joke !:heh:
You live in a marvellous country. I am in love with India despite "some problems" , I hope to return to India .. one day.
"Namaste" as you say , isn't it ?

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
