Henry from Zimbabwe

Welcome Henry! Hope AH can help you in Zimbabwe learning about hunting, PHs, etc. I'd enjoy seeing any pictures, reports, etc of your small game and bird hunts.

Thanks for clearing things up. You will find that as hunters we are the true conservationists. Hunting provides meat for our tables and the tables of others. Before even booking with an outfitter for my first safari last year I wanted to know what happened to the meat from the animals that my sons and I were going to harvest. The outfitter reassured me that some of the meat would be eaten in camp but that none of it would go to waste. We try to make one shot kills. However if an animal is wounded, it gets tracked and dispatched as soon as possible.

Take a look at the avatars and you can see where most of the AH members live. Find someone that lives in Zimbabwe and send him a personal message (PM) and ask his or her advice on how best to accomplish your goals.
Much appreciated Shootist43 I will take you advice, I am looking forward to hunting some big game.

Hello, thank you for your message. I agree its a vague statement, I should have been more elaborate. Instead of explaining my statement allow me me state my position. I do have an active interest in hunting, but have not been on an actual professional game hunt, which is not saying I have not hunted anything, being in Zimbabwe we have hunted with dogs in the farms for small game, not with guns though.
I hunted birds and the like for personal consumption. So my lack of actual detail in my statement is because I have not been on a professional hunt with a gun.
I have no problems with hunting, I am local Zimbabwean meaning culturally hunting game is very recommended, but it has to be within the law.
I will correct my statement and remove the vagueness. I appreciate your comments and questions. No offence meant at all, I want to learn about hunting and get to do it professionally.

Henry, welcome! I had a great time a few years ago hunting in Zim. Bulawayo airport and town were quite nice and the Bubye Valley Conservancy in southern Zim was amazing.
Hello, thats good to hear, hope you will come back soon for some more hunting.
