Well I guess if you cut the great State of Texas in half with only a North and South Zone, you could claim "South Texas". Come on down with the real S. Texans

Yes because every Texan has their own definitions of what regions are in Texas. Then the tourism board has another one.

I also feel like people make maps of Texas that have never been to other regions of Texas.

Having lived in San Marcos, Waco, and spending 5 years in Las Cruces, New Mexico and traveling all over "West Texas" I feel as though I know everything but the panhandle. I have not been to the panhandle since I was 15, and that was over 46 years ago.

There is a classic video about the regions of Texas, cementing that stereotype that no one in the eastern 3/4'states of Texas has ever been to Amarillo or El Paso.
