Has anyone heard the latest on what’s going on with this airline? I read they got bailed out again by the South African government. Unfortunately, I booked a flight with them last January and I’m still waiting to hear what the future holds. There is no one you can talk to because all the offices are closed due to COVID. They have an office in Fort Lauderdale. But you just get a recorded message when you call. They say on their website they will give you credit for your fare till March 2022. I should have done my research better before I booked with them but I had no clue they were in trouble. It always worked easier for me to fly with them because it’s just one flight from JFK to Jo-Burg

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I hope they get up and running again to give Delta more competition. I have flown them many times but doubt I will again if they get back in business.
Sorry for your trouble.

Thanks, from what I just heard the South African government has agreed to bail them out again. But I’m not sure if it’s enough to keep them afloat very long. They did say there was money allocated for refunds. That’s what I’m hoping for but not holding my breath.

Socialism at its finest. All they talk about is labor getting their “due pay” or severance. They propose bringing in a partner on the airline. Who would want to invest and then have the government tell them oh no you have to keep thousands of redundant employees, etc. If they let the private partner have full control of the business then there is a possibility for it to work.
I do hope they get up and running again. They were usually cheap and there was something about flying to Africa on an actual African airline.

Yea agreed, but first and foremost their customers should come first. No matter what the outcome just keep us informed. If I get screwed in this at least let me know. Guess I’m asking for too much I’m sure

Government officials getting involved with a perfectly fine and running business in the name of 'equality'. In reality, they couldn't give a shit about how much employees were paid, they were only hoping that more people would support the ANC, and of course, people didn't and were rightfully pissed off.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
