Has anyone any experience with calling in Caracal?

Anyone have any experience calling in Caracal? If yes, what kind of call would you recommend? I may want to try this in a few month in a few months when I return to SA (hunting in the NW). I would bring an electronic call if I thought I had a chance at something. Thx!

Lee, I have had some luck with the injured rabbit, foxpro, but generally caracal don't come in, in our area.

My Friend Francois VD Valt is one of the most talented callers of cats and jackals I've ever seen. One of the ranchers in the area invited us out to his place where they'd had a "professional" working for six months who hadn't made any headway and in one night took more than his helper had over the course of several months.

He would no doubt be happy to demonstrate his gear for you, sell you what you want and even help you learn the basics.

I'd love to get a nice big Caracal myself next trip.

Hi , I have had sucsess with chicken call ( not a rooster ) and injured rabbit but if they are on a ranch where the do a lot of calling the caracal get very smart and dont want to come into the call
