A friend of mine is wanting a H&H Royal in 500/465NE, in my search I found this on the net & thought what a awesome bit of engraving & folks here might want to see it to, note the Gold Tiger coming out of the engraving with his body showing behind.

Amazing

Absolutely incredible!!
If I'm not mistaken, I saw a write up about this rifle somewhere. I can't remember when or where though.

Very nice! I have a H&H in 500/465NE but it does not have that nice of engraving. I had rounds loaded by Safari Arms, 480 grain. Make sure to to tuck that cheek firmly for a good cheek weld, it bucks like a mule! Cheers

Took me like three times to even notice a gold tiger…might have missed it entirely if you hadn’t pointed it out. Too distracted by that gorgeous wood. When it comes to looks, H&H seem pretty hard to beat. Expect in all other respects as well, I just don’t have any actual experience carrying or running one. Want to some day.

I was just down in San Antonio showing my wife around some old stomping grounds. Stopped in Drury guns to look at a Watson Bros 400/360 they had. Cool little rifle. While looking it over, sales guy asked if I wanted to see something REALLY COOL! Of course, so he asked if ok to walk me back to their offices in the rear of the store.

There on a desk was a cases thing of beauty. I don’t know much about the Holland variations, but this one was a real sweetheart on the eyes. It was a round action 500NE. Appeared a more recent manufacture, with metal mint cond, couple minor handling marks in the most beautiful wood. I didn’t assemble it, just handled each piece separately and enjoyed the opportunity. The fine full scroll and round body made for such a functional piece of art.

Johnny is great. He’s always got a bunch of cool things in his office or in back. That Watson Bros has been there for a while. I look every single time I’m there. They had an early 500NE Dominion for a while that I had to convince myself out of multiple times. I even sold a different double at one point planning to buy it and it happened to sell a few days prior.

@Sarg is that the one from Hallowell Co? Gordy’s had a H&H Royal 500/465 last time I was there. Might check their website. It was a very plain just an FYI but that helps a lot with cost

I’m not sure now where I found those pics @Mtn_Infantry, thank you I looked at the one at Gordys, yes it is plain & I think still top money for a 500/465NE ?

Two issues, I’m in NZ at the moment & my friend is also not in the USA, I did find a nice one in Hawaii but it sold recently so missed that chance.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
