Warthog

13 yrs old then.......
As my grandmother and me were leaving the farm, saw an injured warthog boar.....having problems walking......was on its front knees as if grazing.
Got out and approached to see what the problem was......luckily took the 30-06 with and was ready.
About 10 yards away the boar came for me on its knees.........I couldn't believe how fast he was moving.
I was a good shot then....headshot at very, very close range.

Hunting them at night in the maize-fields by listening and walking them up.
Using my S&W 460 XVR
Came too close to a sounder resting....piglets started squeeling....boar took exception to my presence and came at me through the maize....
I remember thinking that I had my digits all mixed up.....460 should have been the 416 at that moment.
Usain Bolt would not have caught me.....

Not much one can do but dive for cover when being charged by a mother animal protecting her young.

To stop a wife from charging just call and tell the credit card company your credit card was stolen and a lunatic may be using it indiscriminately.

Oh Yeah, should one take this advice:

1. Call your wife and claim your credit card isn't working.

2. Tell her a scammer canceled your credit card.

3. You may want to take a couple of days; unexpected business trip, etc. and call first before returning home... just to check to see if the wife has calmed down.

4. Have the wife meet you for an impromptual date night with plenty of witnesses,....just in case.

Well, if that counts, then I’ve lost track of how many times my wife has charged me! In this case, I must admit — I’m pretty much helpless!

To all the respected AH forum members out there , have any of you been attacked by a wild animal while hunting or while on nature.
Please share your expirience.

The first cape buffalo shot charged. The PH shot him out n the chest and he turned. After an extended tracking job, the bull tried to ambush us but the PH spotted him and I shot him again. He death bellowed and we followed. Still.on his feet the PH knocked him down. When we went in the buffalo looked finished and the PH approached very carefully. At about 10 feet the hull jumped to his feet, the PH's rifle malfunctioned, and the animal started in. I broke his neck.

Other than that, one time while bow hunting in the Sierra Nevada mountains I thought I would see how close I could sneak in on a marmot. I got up to about 20 feet when he saw me, and charged! The chubby little bastard was growling and didn't seem to have any fear. I really didn't want to wreak an arrow and broad head shooting him in the granite so I backed away as fast as possible. He figured he won and left me with.my dignity.

South Africa Eastern Cape 2012 I had a tick get in my shoe. Bad case of tick bite fever. Got bad when I got home. Went to my Dr and said I think this is what I have. She had no idea so she looked it up online. Said they have a picture of it that looks exactly like your foot does. Fixed me right up.
