Game Meat

I would literally pay to eat bighorn or other wild sheep meat--but I have always been told you have to go shoot one, because nobody will ever share it.

We ate some of everything we harvested except zebra. My favourites were wildebeest, and impala. We also ate warthog, oryx, buffalo and waterbuck. All were excellent table fare.
The Mopane worms were better tasting than they looked, but definitely worth a try for the not faint hearted.
Actually I was surprised Zebra t-bone steaks were incredible in tenderness and taste it is second for me next to Eland

Yes you will eat game meat, either yours or the hunter before you. The best I’ve had was sable and Grant’s. I think the Grant’s was the best. The worst African game meat was zebra.

My first two hunts were on the same farm in Namibia. Small operation and I was the only hunter there. They made it a point of serving something from everything I took a couple days after it was taken. I can't complain about anything. I rather liked zebra and made it all the more memorable by having it in a ZLT sandwich. Not too many folks can claim that I bet. My third hunt, in South Africa, I stayed at a lodge with other hunters there. We always had game meat, but because there was more hunters and such it was never from anything I took. All was excellent, though I was a tad disappointed on that point. I really like that connection to what I took, if just a steak fillet. My last hunt was also in South Africa and I was again the only hunter there, probably because things had just opened up after Covid. Anyway, every night dinner was something I had taken and everything was excellent. Fillet of buffalo was amazing.

I know this isn’t African game meat, but, this was my neighbours Thanksgiving feast. I’m sure you could do the same with a crocodile!

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
