Full Elephant Taxidermy Mount

Did they split the skin to cut weight or use it full thickness? I think I saw them working on it when I visited to check on my mounts in Feb. Very impressive with ladders and hoists.
It's shaved down some in the tanning process to cut the weight. Thanks!

How do you get that bad boy thru the door?[emoji16]
The body separates into two pieces and the head, ears, and tusks are detachable. But even with all of that, the client still needs a fairly big door. I'm assuming they had a large double door that opened up to allow for access.

How long did it take and how many swear words? [emoji23]

About 8 hrs with the TLB and a lot of skinners.....had another elephant harass us most of the time and almost ended up with 2....

Getting it laid out and prepped for salting was another major issue....

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
