Gents,
For sale is a Browning Model 71 chambered in 348 Winchester. The rifle is in overall very good condition. Does have some evidence of being carried/hunted. Comes with a Williams peep installed and an excellent factory trigger setup. Very good rifling. The butt stock has a swivel stud installed and the the previous owner put a Marlin-style clamp stud up front. Full disclosure: it moves a bit. I was chatting with a gunsmith who said any decent metal fabricator could solder a stud onto the front nose cap (the deluxe versions came with one installed but this has a standard cap). The butt stock has a metal plate and I do have a hood for the front sight if buyer wants it. (With the peep the hood just doesn't make as much sense.) I have not fired the rifle. Photos should give a good idea of condition. If you have any questions or need anything clarified please feel free to ask *before* claiming the rifle!
This is cross-listed at 24hrcf and **NOT**PERMITTED**. Please claim here and then send a PM if you'd like to purchase. I will go by timestamp across the platforms. Accepted forms of payment: USPSMO, personal check, Zelle. I will ship via SMG with insurance for the full purchase price to your FFL. My DL and information will be included in the box. Your FFL must accept from an individual. Lower 48 and no CA. (We could talk about Alaska but it would involve buyer covering the actual shipping costs.)
$1085 for the rifle shipped.
The rifle buyer will also get first dibs on ammo, tools, and components. (I.e., I will not sell these items apart from the rifle until someone claims the rifle and opts not to buy the ammo/components.) This stuff will ship right to your door via UPS with insurance for purchase price. Factory ammo isn't cheap for the 348, so this would give the rifle buyer a significant start on everything but powder (and the factory ammo would be coming at a very steep discount to current MSRP).
1. 6 boxes of HSM 200 grain FP.
2. 2 boxes of Hornady LeverEvolution 200 grain FTX.
3. 2 boxes (one partial, one unopened) of 250 grain Barnes bullets.
4. 1 box (opened) of 200 grain Hornady bullets.
5. 1 set of Lee reloading dies.
6. One package of handloaded 250 grain Barnes bullets and some extra once-shot brass (these came to me from the previous owner; he used them to hunt hogs with the peep sight).
$475 shipped for the rifle buyer.
