FREE cancellation hunt in SA with AH member

Hey everyone! Incredibly short notice but the guy I picked to go just sent me an email in the middle of the night and cancelled for personal reasons and we are set to leave on Tuesday!!

If anyone wants to jump on a flight to Joberg on Tuesday, overnight with us in Joberg and then fly to Kimberley with us on the morning of the 19th, the spot is open AGAIN! We will hunt seven days June 20-26, fly from Kimberly back to Joberg on the morning of the 27th and later that same day, back to the USA.

The daily rates are FULLY PAID and the hunt includes a FREE kudu of any size and an ADDITIONAL trophy fee credit of $1945!!!! It would be great if someone could jump on this and hunt a few more animals as well. I can send a trophy fee list. Tips would run about $2500 for the PH and staff. This hunt is 2x1 so with four guys, we will be split into two groups but can mix it up each day if you want? Two rhinos will be darted on this trip so you could see that happen as well. Let me know ASAP!

You can still bring a rifle if you have or can get a currently dated Form 4577 or rent a rifle from the outfitter.

The guy that cancelled was getting the free kudu and was going to shoot a bontebok, which requires a special permit to import to the USA but it is no problem if you don't want the bontebok. Bontebok are more expensive than several other animals, I think $1950, and the permit should not be a problem. A blesbok is very similar and cheaper if that matters? As I said, there are lots of other animals available as well.

Let me know ASAP by direct message if you can go. Shawn at Gracy Travel handles our arrangements but you can book airlines direct instead or use another agent. You can get a SAPS firearm permit on arrival but we need to get you an Invitation Letter from the outfitter quickly if you want to bring your own rifle.
My goal is to one day have the ducks in enough of a row to do an extreme short notice trip like this... not there yet.

This is a very generous offer. Unfortunately too short of notice for my schedule otherwise I’d love to see if it could work out. It would be my first time hunting in Africa. I hope you are able to bless someone with this!

Dear fellow AH members,

Myself and three friends bought a hunt at the Wild Sheep Foundation sheep show a couple years ago with an AH Sponsor outfitter. The hunt is with @GAME Trackers AFRICA. The hunt is for four hunters and includes one animal in the package for each hunter. It is a 2x1 hunt and includes daily rates and the trophy fee for the first animal. Addition animals can be taken and trophy fees will be due for those additional animals.

Unfortunately, one of my friends, a retired Green Beret SFO, cannot go because he has accepted a very lucrative security contract in Israel. He is walking away from his fully paid spot on our hunt. His spot in the package included a kudu.

I am looking to replace him with another hunter that will hunt 2x1 with me. I will be darting a rhino and taking a few PG species. I’m an easygoing hunter and enjoy the success of others. I’m looking for someone similar. I would enjoy seeing someone take the kudu and other animals. I’m looking for someone that would shoot more than just the free kudu because I want the outfitter to make some extra money from their donation.

The hunt is for seven days plus travel at the Rockwood Conservancy. We are flying from Joberg to Kimberly on the 19th of June. We will hunt June 20-26, 2025 and depart Kimberly on the morning of the 27th of June. There will be a small charge split by the group for ground transportation from Kimberly to camp and back.

The property is 33,000 acres and is fenced. The accommodations are awesome and you can bring a spouse, friend or family member for an additional charge. I believe the observer fee is $350 per day. I am not bringing an observer but don’t mind if you do. I can provide a trophy fee list if you’re are interested.

I think this will be a really fun trip with lots of good stories and fellowship. If more than one member is interested, I will pick the one that best matches the group’s easygoing attitude and physical abilities. We are all in good shape and are looking for someone that can hike reasonably if required. Let me know if you’re interested and serious! Thanks!

I did ask @BRICKBURN for permission to make this post and was approved because GTA is
I wish I saw the listing this March. I hope the hunt is still a good one.

This is a lesson to me to have a current passport. I'll have to be ready in the future for whatever opportunity might turn up as a kudu hunt in Africa is a bucket list thing for me.

I would go but I have to prep for a motion in my late son's malpractice litigation. Hope you find someone who's palatable. I'm kinda tasteless anyway. :D

I would have jumped on this except I am headed to Zambia in 3 weeks and I can't take that much time away from work.

I hope someone can take advantage of this, as it’s an incredibly generous offer. I think anyone hunting with Scott will enjoy a wonderful time and I’m confident the other two hunters will be similar.

PM sent!

Things are lining up if you would consider me. I’m good from a work, money, and wife standpoint. Another PM sent.

Looks like the spot has already been filled, but just in case there is an opening before the trip starts, I'd love to go!

I have a passport. I've never been to Africa, but I am an experienced North American hunter.

I am self-employed and can hop on an airplane with short notice!

Sweet deal with some seasoned hunters. Just got back from Zimbabwe, oh well...
