In my not so humble opinion: You need to look at the photos a little harder.

I wonder what the selection criteria was?

As stated in the rules: "All aspects of the photo"
For me: Story, Composition, Creativity, Clarity, Difficulty, (untouched, beyond a snap shot, lack of pixilation) Most of all, they demonstrated a unique aspect of "hunting".
The act of hunting (verb) when the photo was taken. (My selections)

Last but not least: It is in the eye of the beholder... It's up to you now.

surprising choices. I was sure the photo with the most "likes" would have made the cut, as the Admin did say "show the judges which photos you like by liking each of your favorites."
But I am biased, it was my photo. LOL

Ya, that J, had an impulse control problem with that post (Oops).
I never looked at the "likes", as it was not in the rules.
