For Sale Ruger Hawkeye Safari .275 Rigby & Ruger #1 .275 Rigby Both NIB

The Ruger #1 is very intriguing for sure!
Which is most interesting to you? With or without the Austrian scope.

@sierraone, what brand of sling is that? Looking at options for my new Ruger African 6.5x55.

Thanks
SandRat

The one in the photo is a John Rigby, ordered off of the John Rigby web site. Westley Richards has the very same one except the leather ends are embossed with their name.

Thanks for the feedback, after chatting with Red Leg and for the price I'll probably go with the Trader Keith sling. Nice looking rifles, I'd be proud to have either or both of them but then my CZ 550 American would be neglected. Good luck on selling them.

Hi Sand Rat,
I have two of the Trader Keith leather slings that are identical to the Rigby leather slings, at least best my eyes can tell. One I bought two years ago at $70 at DSC and one I bought one year ago at DSC at $90. But the canvas/leather sling they were selling for $60 last January is not the same. A lot of difference in the manner in which it is built, and more narrow. I am not suggesting the Rigby canvas sling is worth more than twice the Trader Keith, just advising you to compare apples to apples before you buy. You will likely be happier in the long run!

The Ruger Hawkeye Safari has SOLD, on Gun Broker pending transfer of funds. Thanks for all of your interest.

G'day @sierraone, all-round good bloke, (Yep, I'm crawling), the No 1 would perfectly finish filling my gunsafe but, the usual excuse applies... Sigh ... STILL patiently awaiting the 416 Rigby (another phone call as soon as I finish this post)
You surely have some gorgeous pieces pass through your hands ... Hunt hard, and hunt well, friend.

Thanks for your comments Geoff. I hope you receive the .416 before another year passes. This is crazy! I leave in 12 days, 1 July for South Africa for 7 days, I'll be after buffalo and wart hog, not sure what else. Good luck in receiving your .416 and stay in touch!

G'day @sierraone, enjoy your refreshing your addiction to Africa, it's a terrible disease, isn't it?
I was talking recently with a Lady friend (ZA expat) who is settled up here, about going back to hunt; she seemed to get all misty eyed about the prospect ... and she is one very tough businesswoman!
Hunt well, and enjoy.

Money has transferred. Ruger Hawkeye Safari .275 has SOLD!

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
