Loaded the kids up and grabbed some ice cream then took a drive out to check some of the low water crossings out of town

A normally docile river was raging and water was still rising.

There are some areas that have had it a lot worse in the last 24 hrs and the rain is still falling.

It is roaring through there and that is a fairly wide and deep stretch. A little further upstream it was pouring over the road with serious force. Hopefully the water recedes over night.

Yes out near Hunt. Was watching some live feeds earlier on the Colorado and watched an 80k boat go over the spillway

Lake Travis up another 17 feet in the past 24 hours..........WOW!

Spent my first 13 years of growing up in Fort Worth on the Trinity River. Every year it flooded. Then they did major work with high burms and flood plains. Next thing they put housing developments in the flood plains!

Texas rains can be inches per hour and days long. Just unbelievable!

My heart goes out to all in Texas over this! Be safe!
