Is that an O/U ?Lovely things. I have just purchased a Sagitairre in 9.3x74r. Equipped with Recknagel mounts and rings, it will be my bear rifle in BC next May.
Yes. Mine is a new rifle with the flat rib and factory installed Recknagel bases rather than the Battue rib which is shown on most of their literature. I've sent it to JJ Perodeau to ensure the rings are fitted correctly and to clean up the safety slide a bit. Triggers are perfect. Will let you know how it shoots when I get it back - though the factory target looks promising. Is that an O/U ?
Then you have just introduced me to a rifle that I was not at all familiar. I haven't committed to the bear hunt at this time. I leave on 1 July for my buff cow and pig hunt in S.A. (Didn't have the opportunity for a pig last year). If I take a pig and the buff within the first few days, I may pick another pg to go after. My other option is to go to Pilanesburg National Park about two hours from camp for photos with my Canon. After seeing what my move back to Arkansas is going to cost me in the fall, then I can make the "economic decision" on the bear hunt for the next fall time frame. Am looking forward to the pics after J.J. works his magic!Yes. Did you ever commit to a bear hunt?
Hope you Canadians let me take it along without paying a tariff. Their higher end efforts are amazing - like all the quality makers. This is a very basic OU rifle with a case-colored action along the lines of the round-bodied double above.Going hunting with a piece of art!
I am always awed at the capacity of these craftsmen, no matter the maker.
@Red Leg I hope the new acquisition works well on your bear hunt.
Do we charge a fee to bring a rifle over?Hope you Canadians let me take it along without paying a tariff. Their higher end efforts are amazing - like all the quality makers. This is a very basic OU rifle with a case-colored action along the lines of the round-bodied double above.
