Emirates to Joberg this September

Any reason not to book and fly with Emirates this September. Flying with 2 Rifles for a 1 Month stay. Checking rates today. Economy is $1,501 from SFO via Dubai. Lay over in Dubai for 3 1/2 hours and get to Joberg at 5:30am in time to get my 10:45am Airlink to Biera…

I prefer this flight to avoid the extra night at a Safe House in Joberg… Plus Emirates is great!

I’m flying Emirates to JNB in September. No concerns at all. They’re my preferred airline, along with Qatar.

Give serious consideration to premium economy. Better seat, more comfort, food, service and a small cabin for premium economy. Way less expensive than Biz Class, way better than economy.

@NIGHTHAWK , when are you flying and who/where are you hunting with? Arrive JNB on 9th, fly to Beira on 10th and charter out to C9.

I just flew through Dubai on my way to India. Nothing to worry about. Actually very pleasant as the airport was not busy. Flying back home this weekend with a 3 day layover.

We’re 6 months out. I could buy cancellation insurance and be prepared to book another Airline.

There’s the Delta through Atlanta for $160 more and a nights stay at a safe house as option B. That also wastes a day. I’ve been screwed by Delta more than once…

I really like this flight and schedule out of San Francisco. Emirates is such a great Airline. Last trip with Emirates was so easy and comfortable. Dubai airport is really nice!

Fair enough. That’s what I ran into recently with Qatar. I bought a 2nd ticket on a different airline while waiting on my no penalty cancellation window to open.
