I had it done! New lenses. Yesterday at 11:00 AM. I had one down time afternoon and night where I just laid around. The pill they give you is really nice!
No pain, then or now. Very minor discomfort and blurry vision yesterday. This morning I'd say I have 85% normal vision, no pain. My pupils are still dilated a little bit and the doctor said the eyes have some swelling, both contributing to less than perfect vision for a couple days. With continuous improvement over 2-3 weeks.
Already I can tell that I will not need glasses, for anything! I went to my tool box and could see the sizes written on the side. (that was a test, I could not see that at all before). I'm typing this without glasses and can easily use a smart phone.
Far vision is as good or better than it was with glasses.
First thing this morning I looked through scopes and binoculars with ease. Though the scopes needed re-focused. I shot my recurve bow and compound better than I can ever remember! These is a lens in my compound peep sight that will need to be removed.
Sometimes around the edges of my vision I can see streaks of dark, like if you move your eyes around in binoculars. Night time halos are yet to be determined.
So far, I am very happy with the procedure.
