I would not necessarily agree that putting a young Swedish volunteer at the back of a horse riding group through the bush "for safety" as stated would have been a good idea. I would have thought one guide at the front and one at the back. But admittedly I know nothing and have watched too many films lol! But a very lucky girl and an amazing photo of the bite on the back of her neck. Lucky to live.....

Never a dull moment in Africa..

Thankfully she is expected to make a full recovery.

Ok, too soon, but gotta add some humor to this bad situation.

Sue: '....that thing was going to eat me....'

Crocodile Dundee: '.... I wouldn't hold that against him....samething crossed my mind once or twice...'

She believes the lion jumped on her out of curiosity.

Yeah, curiosity as to how she would taste.

Lion:
Swiss?....Hhmmmm.....cheese or chocolate?

Glad the young lady is ok. - Infections, stroke and nerve damage. I hope she fully recovers.

Sounds like they get a little too familiar with these carnivores in this outfit.
"Naemi said she recognised the lion that attacked her, describing it as around two years old and previously seen several times near the safari area."

Lucky the young lion was just practicing and learning.

Put precious cargo in the most protected area

And where was the boy sleeping?

I’d rather deal with the lion.

Riding bait animals in Africa. What could go wrong.
From my own extensive experience, I can assure you that it is often more exciting than searching for a sick buffalo in the bush.Survival of the fittest.
And yes,shit happens sometimes

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
