I do not personally own a double ( maybe when I grow up), but I would love to see some pics of some of the ones talked about on here. So ... if you have some pics of yours ... post em' up.

Click on my photos on the top of this for some of mine.

My friend and author,Cal Pappas has many shown on his website.
He written a couple of books centered on double bore rifles and the mighty 600 NE.

Double Rifles

Jerome, I hope that this is not against the rules here. That website in no way conflicts with this one IMO.

Nice !!!
Come on guys and gals , I know more of you have some beautiful hardware to show...

It sounds like you need to get one or more for yourself and show us yours! :D

I want one...I really don't know very much about them though. Jus being honest.
I am a bow-hunter through and through , but have a gun fetish ( according to my wife ).
I have been collecting since my teens , but now have the ability ( funds ) to get some of the items on my list that used to be out of reach. The doubles are fascinating ! I am ignorant to them though. I just figured that a good place to start would be looking at what other guys have and like.

I'd start with a lower cash outlay, BPE (Black Powder Express) rifle and get used to them. They are not like playing with a single tube rifle. A 450 or 500 BPE sounds like it's be too big but they aren't. Get Graeme Wright's book, "Shooting the British Double Rifle" and read thru it a few times cover to cover to get an idea about them.
They are addictive tough. I just added another one to the stable yesterday. A twin tubed twin set this time.

Thanks for the advice , Mike. I will definitely get that book...
MFM , I kinda like the looks of the blasers. Do they handle well ?

As they are the only doubles I have ever shot I've no real basis for comparison, however I like the way they feel / come up to the shoulder

Being a newbie here, once I've properly figured out how to post pics etc, I'll provide a bit more information on them

Hell of a nice looking double Buff!

A few of my doubles

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
