Display of Hunting Photos

That's why different strokes for different folks powers the world, eh? One man's 'redundant' is another man's 'augments'... I see a photo next to a mount as a connection between what's physically shared/present and the location and moment in time. Cheers!

Personally, I feel it's redundant to display a photo alongside a mount; however, for non-importable species, or in the event of a second home situation where the animal is physically hanging in another dwelling, I prefer professional framing with the frame and mat, etc. being picked by someone (a designer) more knowledgeable than myself.

It depends on the choosen photo. In the photos I usually select, the PH(s) and/or tracker(s) and/or skinner(s) are in the photo with me. The people in the photo adds more perspective to the size of the animal. Plus having others in the photo is a reminder of who, when, where, and how that animal was hunted.

I takes a great picture with my Cannon Rebel camera then send to my artist in SA. She then paints the photo in oil on canvass

I ended up putting a digital picture frame on a side table in the den that scrolls through a bunch of my hunting photos. It’s perfect for showing more pics without printing or framing each one, and visitors always ask about different trips when they see it. Way better than just letting the photos sit forgotten on my hard drive.
