I was not present on this hunt. She is in college and working and the first full day she and her husband could go was Halloween. So I stayed home with my other kids for the holiday while my father in law, nephew and son in law all went hunting. My nephew hunts this area for deer and knew the area a little bit. He has the makings of an excellent hunting guide, also works at same fire dept as I do. My father in law is very experienced hunter and a long time taxidermist as well. He is retired military and so has time and good health. My daughter has killed a good deer but doesn’t hunt much and not around to shoot with us very often. She used my rem 700 in 7mm-08 with a muzzle brake and 150 gr hand loaded Accubond long range bullets. She used this rifle with a different load on her deer and feels comfortable with it although her sisters rifle would have fit her better. It has a leupold vx 3L 4.5x14x44 scope on it with a custom turret. The turret is a lifesaver with young or inexperienced shooters. She is a good shot but not a great one, not as patient as her sister. I’ll have more details later but the picture is fun. She is very small, maybe 110 pounds. She said the hike and stalk were hard and scary. In Utah this is a “once in a lifetime” permit.

I'll have to buy a beer if we ever meet. You've done a wonderful job raising your kids. Well done. :D Beers:

Looks like one happy girl and a great goat! Congrats to all involved!

Fine Goat! Congratulations to your daughter! I wish my father in law was a taxidermist,

Fine Goat! Congratulations to your daughter! I wish my father in law was a taxidermist,
Growing up, I think my dad wanted to get into taxidermy. He was always telling me, "I'm going to tan your hide!"

Sorry you weren't able to participate @Firebird . Congrats to raising another successful hunter!

Congratulations! That's a big bodied goat!

Congratulations to a fantastic accomplishment.
I took my first goat in Montana in September on a DIY backpack hunt.
You earn a goat. Awesome job.

Para45-I know a place outside of Grahamstown, we should share a drink there sometime!
I met my wife because I had done some taxidermy with her dad. She needed a date for a concert and he said-I know a guy you should call-yada yada yada we are four kids later!

Good looking goat. Well done!
Bruce

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
