I was waiting until Mark’s rifle sold to post this. As I have mentioned in a couple of posts, surgery on both wrists has made the Lott a bit much. I have covered many miles on the trail of Buffalo with this rifle, and I’d really like to see someone have it who will continue to build history with it. Here are the particulars:

Custom stock by LeRoy Barry of Canyon Creek Custom Gunstocks. Leroy did much of the stock work for Wayne at AHR. You will clearly see it in the pics.

Metal work by Gary Junk of Arctic Gunworks:
- .458 WM rechambered to .458 Lott
- barrel cut to 22” and re-crowned
- banded front sight with flip up night sight
- banded sling swivel stud
- trigger worked and set to 3#
- satin Arctic coat finish

Talley bases and QD rings

$5,000

I can’t find any significant marks on the stock. There are some mars on the barrel finish about 8” from the muzzle, that I have tried to show in the photos.

Sorry for the choppy listing. I should have mentioned that this rifle is a shooter. If you do your part, it is sub 1” with three shots at 100 every time.

Nice rifle! You should probably list weight and length of pull as well. I like your thought process. I was waiting for that other rifle to sell before I listed a couple AHRs as well. :-).

Ah, good point. I will get on it tomorrow. Sure to be the choppiest listing in AH history!

That was very polite and classy to wait for a similar rifle and price point to sell before listing. Especially being that patient.

This rifle is a steal at $5k some people enjoy the process of compiling the rifle components. Waiting months or years. Hoping it turns out as a shooter. And paying retail.

Some people prefer to let others take the time and first financial hit. Making sure it performs correctly. And to buy at wholesale.
This one is the later. All dialed in and ready for shipping at a $3k discount.

OK, to continue on with my choppy listing:

Rifle weight: 8 pounds 12 ounces
LOP: 14"
Trigger is slightly over 3 pounds, very crisp.
I have cycled the rifle slowly and quickly. It is flawless.
Round count must be in the range of 300
Bore is as new
Round capacity; 3 down 1 up. There is room to load the fourth round by depressing the magazine and not snapping the extractor over the rim.
I have played around with the sights which is why some of the pics are different. The rifle comes with an island rear sight with a safari blade filed to sight at 50 yards with Federal 500 gr TBBC. It also has Talley QD bases and rings and a skinner rear sight that I will throw in. I was playing with the skinner on and the island off which is why some pics are different.

Those of you who know LeRoy's work will realize that the stock alone on this rifle would cost $4k plus to replicate.

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
