CRF Question

I WANT ONE! I know that company is defunct, but somebody, somewhere could make an upper for it. The .458 SOCOM cartridge is a little short, but the WM cartridge fits in any .30-06 length action. There is/was a company that modified Garands for the .458WM and with just a barrel, a Browning BAR in 7mm, .300WM or .338WM can accommodate the .458WM. Thanks for sharing this video!
Not sure NEMO is defunct...looks like their website is up and running.

To my knowledge NEMO only made 2 rifles in 458WM (circa 2014). The original idea was the request of a writer (Mike Schoby) who received one of the rifles. The second rifle stayed with one of the NEMO co-founders (Josh Sonju). They are likely to have the drawings somewhere and if money was no object for you...I'm sure they would build a third.

Wonder if the "mad bellow" is similar to the sounds Townsend @Bob Nelson 35Whelen utters when someone shows up with a .243 to go hunting with him?
That's more of a sputtering of epithets and "bloody toe-mah-toe stake!"
@crs
Thanks mate glad I'm not dead.
Who else would keep these 243 heathens like @CoElkHunter, @CBH Australia and others in their place.
Bob
Heathens as opposed to disciples of the dead turdy-phive?
I read about a technique, and tried it with dummy rounds that seems to work to top off a CRF. With a round in the chamber turn the rifle so the magazine floor plate is facing up. Open the floor plate and just drop the rounds in and close the plate.

This method seems to work well and has the added benefit that you keep a round in the chamber in case things go sideways.
That's a sound idea in practice, but my concern as someone who has tried this with a .375 is this: you screw up the closing of the magazine floor plate and you've got a single shot without a loading tray. That can be a real pain with a CRF rifle. Bottom line there is the risk of total failure outweighs the rewards.

Well, somebody elses money would never be an object for me? I just have to browse the internet and see where I might be able to get a grant to buy one? If not, a Browning BAR would be very tempting to convert. I'm sure some company has/could make an extended 10 round magazine for it? But, the NEMO AR platform .458WM would be the "holy grail" for DG hunting in SOME countries.

Problematic for some of the fifedoms that lack security in their reign. Although I cannot fathom a $5 a shot semiautomatic rifle. Holy Moses! It would never get a proper wringing out would it?

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is 239 565-8988. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
