Good day AH community,

We have recently been opening up some exciting new areas in the Eastern Cape during 2025 and this is one of those hunts we’ll take any excuse to head out and do with our clients!

This hunt is, without a doubt, one of the best safari experiences we’ve discovered. From the accommodations to the hunting itself, it leaves very little to be desired. The game numbers are fantastic, the trophy quality exceptional, and the landscape simply breathtaking. Honestly, what’s not to love? It’s the kind of hunt you probably won’t do just once. It’s best suited for the more experienced safari-goer, simply because of the species available. The hunting here is quite species-specific, but both the experience and the trophy quality are hard to beat.

Another huge bonus is the beach and coastline that are just a stone’s throw away (and sometimes right where you’re hunting!), making this an ideal “hunting holiday” destination. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly safari spot that your non-hunting companions will love just as much as you do. You can even add deep-sea fishing to your safari for a truly unforgettable adventure!

If you’re working on your Tiny Ten, this is an excellent hunt for you, with four different options available: Blue Duiker, Oribi, Grey Duiker, and Cape Grysbok. Please do give us as much advance notice as possible for Cape Grysbok and Oribi, as permits for these species are extremely limited.

Travel is simple and convenient - clients fly into Johannesburg and then take a short domestic flight to Port Elizabeth. From there, it’s an easy hour-and-a-half drive to camp.

The hunt looks as follows:

1x Blue Duiker

Is it correct that you cannot import a Bontebok into the US ?

Is it correct that you cannot import a Bontebok into the US ?
You ARE most definitely able to import Bontebok into the USA sir. Hopefully with even more ease as they are considering changing its CITES status! A proposal has been submitted for discussion at the CITES CoP20 meeting.

Kind regards,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

Is this a fenced hunt? Or free range?
All free range sir except for the Bontebok which is of course controlled for obvious reasons.

Kind regard's,
Dempsey Bayly & Michael Sippel

What time of year is best? Accomodation?
I would say normal hunting months are best, April through to September. Although we have hunted as early as the end of March with full success! Accommodation is absolutely top class. Please view the link below:

Thank you. I'd like to chat further. That YouTube link says it's private(?). I may not know how to properly click it.

Will you all be in Atlanta this year?

Fantastic! We'd love to host you. We will drop you a private message. As it stands presently we will be in Germany, Hungary and Austria. But we may change our minds and will be sure to let everyone know our schedule!

A HUGE MOMENT FOR HUNTING AND IT'S CONTRIBUTION TO CONSERVATION!

The bontebok has officially been removed from CITES Appendix II. This was accepted by full consensus without any objection from any Party at the recent CITES convention. This milestone reflects years of commitment and hard work from private landowners, professional hunters, and conservation partners alike who have invested in the responsible wildlife management of this species. Once on the brink of extinction, the Bontebok now stands as a leading example of how sustainable use through hunting and science-based private ownership can drive a full and realistic species recovery.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
