First of all Scotland is beautiful, to be recommended and we will go back at least one more time. There are plenty of guidebooks to look up the nice places. We did most of these that were on our route between Newcastle and Isle of Sky, wont be elaborating on them. Driving through the countryside is fantastic in itself. Just stopping and exploring on random places wast most fun. At no time did the car radio came on, was just going to be an unnecessary distraction. We had a great time on a farm that included some pet Scottish highlander cows. And apparently passed lots of film locations of all kinds.
Visited a very nice clay shooting range and shot for an hour too. County clays. Very nice experience and top notch hospitality. And satisfied with my result . Also haven't seen so many deer together anywhere on the trip as there (Wild yet not too shy of human movement). Up to between different stations of the range. The gunmaker dickson and son are next door. Also visited and was equally pleasant and informative chat.
Should you have any doubts about Scotland. Just go!
