I need some help from the Mauser experts here. I picked up this 1939 vintage BRNO recently and the barrel is stamped 8.2x57. What I’m reading online is that 8.2x57 is the same as 8x57 JS. Is this true? Can I shoot 8x57JS in this rifle? Any other thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. Please see the pictures below.

8.2 mm is .323 inches. Should be the standard 8 x 57, not the pre-World War II. 318. So yes, standard 8 x 57 ammo should be correct.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!

Who's this C. W. Richter? Seems to have a chip on his shoulder.
