Blaser R8. Top Loading and De-cocking Video

Here's a video I made of top loading and de-cocking the Blaser R8. These two operations seem to be difficult for some people who are new to the R8. Hopefully this will help.

Excellent!

Maybe the basis of a new song?

Maybe so! Goes like this...

I picked her up.....held her tightly...And loaded her with one hand. Why that's so hard, I just don't understand.

And when she was primed for firing, I racked one in her chamber, shouldered her and cocked her with one thumb.

But the urge to fire, it left me, so I slowly let her down. With my barrel pointed safely at the ground.

I've cocked many guns in my life, son.
But I've never had so much trouble de-cocking one.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
