Best Factory Ammo for 7x57 Mauser?

Hendershots custom ammo has a load with a 175 grain interlock round nose that is hard to beat in the 7x57.
I had excellent results with Hendershots loads in Africa. Hornady also makes .275 Rigby rounds and they have been accurate, though I have yet to hunt with them.

My favourite we get here...has worked well on sable..Warthog..puku...impala...

I would say Norma is a better option then PPU , I like a little bit of speed
And the 7x57 PPU is getting down in the 6.5cm range on terminal ballistics which imo seems pretty disappointing! For tougher game ?

@Dirtdart Hendershots has custom Norma Oryx in 7x57, quite a bit more than the Norma Whitetail. I use both but I have not had experience with the Whitetail load except at the range.

I appreciate the response but I asked the question in hopes that there may be a stash of factory ammunition out there for the members that do not "roll their own". I have all that is needed to replicate that load should I feel the need but many here do not.

I really appreciate the suggestions y’all. I’ll try and few different loads and see which one the rifle likes the best. I’ll report back.

I would agree that the Norma Oryx load would be an excellent choice and if any member knows where to purchase in the US please post. I can't find a single box in stock anywhere with most showing discontinued.
If you reload, @RAVEN ROCKS PRECISION has the Norma Oryx 7mm 156gr bonded bullets on sale right now for less than 50 cents apiece.

If you run across any old stock of PPU 158 grain GROM don't hesitate to try it.
It is a shame the ATF banned the importation of that line of ammunition.
ATF never banned any PPU hunting ammo. They had a temporary ban lifted this June on some non-lethal training ammo produced by PPU.

140gr Accubond shoots well in my M70 Featherweight. I have a couple boxes on back order at Midway.

Hands down, my favorite factory loading for the 7x57mm Mauser was the old Winchester Super X 175Gr soft point (with the big blue nose). Unfortunately, they were already discontinued in 1988 (a full year before I purchased my 7x57mm Mauser). Luckily, I managed to find a dozen.

Currently, I am using the Sellier & Bellot 173Gr SPCE.

September 2019 PPU's US distributor announced that the ATF would no longer approve import permits for the "Thunder Line" of projectiles. Look it up.

Midway USA does have some factory Hornady 275 Rigby 140g in stock now:

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
