Question was asked if the rifle was was sold and returned.
No it was not returned.
The person that intended to purchase it asked for a face to face transaction on X date. No problem. Then it was can we bump it back a little? Again no problem. Then it was having some unforeseen financial difficulties. So back up sale.

Good morning. Can you tell me what the "S-C" designation is? Also, the year manufactured? Are you the original owner?

Yes I am the original owner.
The S stands for medium sporter.
The C stands for C weight barrel.
Year manufactured should be 2011.

If you put it beside my Ruger No.1 H 450-400, which has a C weight barrel, it looks the same. Which basically makes this a No. H with a Medium Sporter tag. The only thing I can figure on the designation is the 45-70 is not a traditional African cartridge.

This is quite a deal I think. Aside from the Lipsey rifles, all of them have shorter barrels and do not balance as well. Not many of these around.

I would like to buy this 45 70 rifle Kenny 307 262 1310
Kennethmass,

Good move! And it has 26 inch barrel and nice wood, awesome.

( Just an idea, If you have a gunsmith extend the throat/lands a little to accept a bullet seated out further for more powder room you will have a 45-90 which can be loaded to the low side of 458 WM. I am doing this now so that I can load some "better" Northfork, CEB and Peregrine bullets, shallow for more powder room. "Mo' Power."
It is just another significant advantage of shooting a single shot rifle, I turn my 45-70 into big cape buffalo medicine.)

Umm, I believe that the rifle was marked SOLD.
