Very nice. Is that a Crocodile in the last pic?

Looks like you had some fun.

That is a huge croc that hung around the dock. Steve Dean got his tail. He has no room to turn around

Don't fall off the boat in that Marina.

Looks like the fishing was good!

More big fish there Leonard!

Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Brave move grabbing that croc!

Thinking about just pushing Steve in.

Good deal Mr. Iwaters, congrats on a successful fishing trip. I was born in Nicaragua, and I have fished the Rio San Juan for monster tarpon & snook. We also caught some saw fish in Lake Nicaragua, and caught some Rooster Fish as well. BTW, that is not an alligator, it is probably a Yacare Caiman, and they grow very large in Nicaragua. I remember reading of Caimans eating humans, not as aggressive as a croc, but not something you don't want to mess with.

I'ma aheading back down to Rio Indio Lodge for more tarpon and I heard the snook fishing was good too.

Looks like fun! Nothing beats bowing to the king! When it comes to fishing, a flats fishing trip to Belize/ Honduras has been on my radar for a while now. Congrats on the fish

Actually in Nicaragua it was getting to the point where I hoped to not hook up with another tarpon.

How was your resent trip? Did you do a fish report? Hope you had a wonderful time. My parents are back in the US, and they do not know when will they head back. I hope the country goes back to normal, it is a great place to visit. It's a shame these dictators f*ck it all up for everyone.

I don't leave till 14 September.

Oops, got ahead of myself here. Well, safe travels, and catch the big ones.

We are back and had a good trip. The tarpon fishing was not as good as the last time but I did manage to land two. I also got a big jack to the boat and he caught off. We had a lot of tarpon that would crab the bait jump and spit it out. Caught a nice barracuda which we ate. The lodge and staff was great and we ate a lot of fresh caught shrimp. The hurricane has slowed up the river fishing but the group before us caught a lot if fat snook. I will go back down next spring for more fishing. Here are a few pictures.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
