Where is the best place for a good meal before boarding Delta 200 flight? Headed back for second safari in 40 days. On my first trip last year I didn’t eat a good meal before boarding flight and regretted it. This time have a 3 hour layover and will have plenty of time. What are some of the better places for a good steak?

I am all ears. Hope someone has a good recommendation as I am going to be there May 25 with my group of hunters. Been a few places but nothing to write home about.

Does DL 200 depart from terminal E or F? It was E last year which is confusing because F is the international terminal.

There is a place called Malone’s. I’ve never eaten there but you can check it out.

You can always try Longhorn Steakhouse, not the best but it is an airport. Terminal C.

Chick-fil-a. I try to get it whenever I’m in range of one. They’re not in Alaska :(

My vote for the best restaurant at Atlanta Hartsfield is "One Flew South" on Concourse E. Though not a steak and beer house, it is a 4-5 star restaurant that has never disappointed when I had a long layover. With three-hours, you have plenty of time regardless of arrival concourse. http://www.oneflewsouthatl.com/

Paschal's is a bit more "Murican" and is not bad as well. It is on concourse B.

Chick-fil-a - seriously?

Usually E 14 or E 15. E terminal is also international flights.

There is a TGI Friday’s just before the Delta Club in the E concourse. Several good eats in F concourse upstairs on same level as Delta Club.

Have eaten at One Flew South a couple of times and enjoyed myself. They had roasted pork belly at one visit that was outstanding.

Flew through ATL 2-3 times a year while living in Nigeria for 6 years. We usually had 4+ hours to kill, so a nice leisurely meal was our normal routine, then go relax at the Delta lounge.

Our favorite, upscale dining place in Terminal F is Ecco. http://ecco-atlanta.com/

Ecco menu: http://airport.ecco-atlanta.com/menus/

The grilled romaine salad is fabulous (I had never heard of grilled romaine before trying it at Ecco). It's a meal in itself and large enough to split in half between two people. The steaks are excellent too.

Has anyone been to The Club Lounge in Concourse F? It s $40 for a pass and we have a 7 hour layover Delta Sky Club is members only now so you can’t buy a day pass. There is only one Admirals club in T which I have a membership to but my group won’t be able to get in. I like to find a lounge with this long of a layover if possible.
Thoughts?

You should get yourself an AMEX Platinum Card. It comes with a Priority Pass, with it you can use to bring two guests with you, after that you are paying for each additional guest is $27. Plus you will be able to use the Priority lounges in Africa. At DFW, you would be able to use the Centurion Lounge in Terminal D, with is a better lounge than any Admirals Club lounge.

A other benefit, is the $200 year year airline credit, which would pay for your baggage charges on Delta. A they will pay once every five year for your Global Entry Fee.

Also the Chase Sapphire Reserve VISA Card has some of the same perks, but with a $300 airline credit.

The Club is always crowded and the food and drink offerings and not very good. Certainly not worth $40.

Art Art Toby and Myself availed ourselves of The Club Atlanta last July. I have a priority Card which got all of us in! The food is nothing great but drinks are good! Best bet is just buy the day pass to the delta club! Food is getting better all the time and the Clubs On E and F concourse better still than the others!
Well drinks are of course free!

The Club at Atlanta just above international departures entrance to Concourse F!

I second the vote for Ecco. Ecco is a five star restaurant in downtown Atlanta. Their location in Terminal F is an anomaly in airport dining. The food is outstanding, the wine list is a direct carryover from the downtown restaurant, and the bourbon/ scotch selection is pretty decent. All of my international trips start at Ecco even if I am flying business class.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
