Any Other Interests???

Yard work is another hobby. Something about a perfectly striped yard gives me instant gratification. My handy work at the humble abode.

Yes - I know this band. I may have missed a post, but are you connected to them somehow or just a fan?
Thanks, I didn't see this response .. My two Older Brothers Started this band in the early 90's.
I've had a few opportunities to sit in for Steve if I could make the show's, etc ..

They just got back from Europe, 1st live show's in over 2 years. However, due to their age, Steve enterprised the band out essentially by using younger musicians to keep this really ridiculous industry live.

Really cool. Thanks for the response. Nephew, Steve, Dave & Jackie. "Lot of Good Years"

that is very, very cool. Always appreciated their being kind of all over the place with the style : heavy, melodic, electronic, what have you. That post-glam era in the mid-late 90s created some awesome music on that end of the spectrum. Never a dull moment!

Just finished this clay. Ready to be molded for a bronze. Bull coming out of the waterhole.

Play acoustic bass(drums too),like to do some carpentry occasionally, have planted
scores of trees and do various landscaping, most outdoor activities(including skiing),cooking, nature and wildlife photos, and quite a few more. Apparently I get bored easily and like experiencing various things. It makes life somewhat interesting. However, I’m a true Jack of All Trades Master Of None. A dilettante. For years it used to bother me not to have mastered anything. But now I’ve learned to accept (rationalize)what I am. Lol.

Yes my car passion is very serious also. I have a white M2 that is strictly for the track. Not even registered.

It's people like you that make me glad I don't have any close neighbors;)

Seriously, nice Job!

We started hiking during the pandemic because there was very little else that we could do together that we both enjoyed. So far this year we have done 30 hikes together. None were overnight but they would typically be day hikes of 6-8 miles and 1500-2000 feet of elevation. We spent a week in Acadia a few days each in Lake George and Lake Placid. A trip through Shenandoah and another in the Vermont Green Mountains.
Also Watkins Glenn area and several in the Poconos.

I'm not good at much but I do love wildlife and photography. Unfortunately, I'm an engineer so my photography is technical but lacks "feeling" that more creative photographers can capture. Good subjects in good light are hard for even a clumsy photographer to screw up...

Kits in a Culvert - a wild gray fox vixen had her pups in a culvert. I never saw her but as they grew they became increasingly interested in the world around them. One in particular, was more bold than his litter mates. I stumbled into getting in a ray of light with his siblings huddled in the background.

Because of their iridescence, it takes just the right light to photograph wood ducks. I was extremely fortunate to get this combination...

I recently wrapped up a Cape buffalo bronze. Here is the clay before the bronze. The actual bronze is also finished but I don’t have the base yet and haven’t snapped any pics. It’s a replica of my Zim bull. It’s a bull leaving a water hole.

Boating and RVing. Still have a young family so use these for quality time with the kids. Not sure which hobby has cost me more but I'm currently in the more money than time portion of my life. Because of this I don't own a lawnmower and pay people to do all my yard work, even with 3 acres of grass. I do find it cathartic to clear some brush Ala George W Bush so I keep a tractor and a skid steer with a forestry mulcher. There is nothing more better after a bad work week than converting diesel fuel into sawdust at a high rate of speed.

My Favorite Movie .. Based on Ken Kesey's Novel .. Has anyone ever seen this?
