My Dad and I are a couple months out from buffalo hunting in the eastern cape- getting pretty fired up. We are doing a couple of days in Capetown first, to beat the jet lag. The only flights I see connect through Amsterdam, is it absolutely a disaster flying through there with firearms? Been working with travel expresss, and she understands the process there regarding paperwork, etc. I’ve read some horror stories on here about arriving without firearms, don’t want to end up like that! Might go to joberg first and connect from there to Capetown… thoughts?

If you've got you permits ready. In other words consent from Dutch customs there will be no problem.

A good travel agency will sort this out. Enjoy

As DieJager said - no issues.
I flew through Amsterdam several years back. Just need to send the papers for approval at least 3 weeks in advance if memory serves.

Me too. Have your Permit to Transit The Netherlands with a Firearm form approved prior to departure, and you should be good to go.

Making me feel better! Working with travel express on paperwork

just do what Jennifer tells you to do, she is great and knows what she is doing, just have a great time

My son and I used Travel Express for a trip in and out from Joberg, I cannot say enough good things about their people on the ground there. I'm planning a Euro wild boar trip for latter in the year and will be going through Amsterdam as a connection, I'm interested to hear your experience if you end up doing that connection with your hunting rifles.

Relax, Travel Express can handle the proper paper work as they did for me a few years back

What everyone has said. Don’t worry Jennifer Travel Express will handle all the paperwork. Only person I use for last 6 trips and will continue to use.

I just got a message from Jennifer a couple hours ago, she was just checking in and give me a little info about my trip leaving next Friday. did not expect to here from her as today they are closed, great customer service!

Amsterdam does have some good compensations.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
