There was a security alert as recent as last December. Naivete in Africa is not advantageous to one's health.

At least the kidnappers have asked for money and negotiation is possible.

The young Canadian woman that was kidnapped months ago in Burkina Faso has reportedly been taken to Mali. No one has taken responsibility.

I hope both these young people are brought home safely.

Paying any Ransom is not the answer! but a problem!! Pay once when does it stop?

I will always be a Soldier! and NOT a piss ant politician! In a soldier's mind there is ONLY ONE WAY to deal with these kind of "Bas***d's"!

CBS news reports that woman and driver released unharmed. Great news................and hopefully true, although CBS. Queen Elizabeth National Park will suffer some hard times now..................FWB

My contacts in Kenya (Safari outfitters) state the ransom was paid by the Safari outfit. So as many has said before expect this to happen again

Paying money is going to backfire on them and the only ransom they should have been paid was a thousand rounds of minigun from a Little Bird.
