I have recently acquired a Brno ZKK 600 in 7 x 57 and looking for instructions to adjust the pop up pee sight. Have only found a later copy of the rifle manual that does not cover the pop up peep sight.

Over time there were a few variations to the pop up sight.

All the ones I've seen had the aperture leaf mounted in a dovetail and were drift adjustable for windage. Some used a locking screw while others were just held in position by friction. Most, not all, had graduations marked on the sight body to show how far across you had moved the aperture leaf.

All had a screw adjustment for elevation.

To adjust windage, loosen lock screw (if fitted). Move leaf left or right, re-tighten and test. Repeat til zeroed.
To adjust elevation, turn adjustment screw clockwise or counter clockwise as required. (May have some graduation marks as a guide), but primarily trial and error.

Brnofan, welcome to the AH forum!
It might help if you could attach a photo so we would have an idea which peep sight you have.

Hello Brnofan,

I apologize for my delay in responding.
Only just now did it dawn on me (I have a thick skull) that your question about the Brno 602 was your first post here in the forum.

So then…..
Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.

I do not know the answer to your question.
However, my favorite hunting rifle (that I can afford) is indeed the Brno 602 Magnum in .375 H&H.
At the moment it’s around 6:00 am here in Namibia.
And, I’m about to skid sideways into the kitchen for some bacon, eggs, granny biscuits and coffee.
Then into the baaki with said Brno to begin the day.

At some stage I will begin posting my hunt reports in the section of the forum that is set aside for such topic.

Cheers for now,
Velo Dog.

Just came across a photo of the pop-up sight disassembled. This might help you visualize how the adjustments work.

The aperture slides in a grove at the back. The lines are as a reference. The screw nearest the aperture tightens the grove thereby locking the aperture. The screw at the other end controls elevation. Simple up down.

Nice “meeting” you Rick. I made my first trip to S. Africa this year through Kuche Safaris. We had an incredible time. What outfitter do you use? Neal
