9.3x64 Brenneke

It is a shame, Bertram Brass have the 9.3X64B brass in stock but apparently it is not being exported.
Don't know if you coould get together and get some sent over.

As for the DR caliber 9,3x64 from Johann Fanzoj, nobody wants to buy it?

I am having to really restrain myself from doing it, but unfortunately, I have no need for it. The rifle would be stored in my gun-safe along with some others.

I recently harvested a nice Wyoming cow elk with my 9.3x64 using 250gr TTSX at 2800fps and plan to use it on a Texas Nilgai early next year.

That's kind, but I already have four 9.3x64s and one in production.

It is a nice rifle, clean but with some rust pitting, which might indicate it is not in very good shape. There are also cracks between the wood of the stock and the action. This all perhaps explains the relatively low price for such a rifle. Let us wait and see if there is any interest, because sometimes the price of such rifles can be discussed.

What also makes this double rifle interesting, except it is caliber 9,3x64 Brenneke, which is rare for a double rifle, is the slightly modified Kersten-Verschluß, also known as a Doppel-Greener-Verschluß / Double-Greener action. By the way, Johann Fanzoj is a great name in Ferlach/Austria.

I caretake a lefty Ruger 77 with a Lothar/Walther 9.3X64 chambered barrel. It was put together by someone very special to me who has passed. I know he’d want me to carry it but it’s too damned nice. One day….

I would really like to buy it--but how in the world would I go about it? I have often wondered how to make E Gun.de purchases work. It seems complicated and almost impossible. What extra costs should be expected? Would love to have access to that market! Suggestions? Anyone want to become a broker?

Yes I have often thought the same myself. I am a left handed shooter in Australia, and the options on Egun are just not available in Australia.
I would love to be able to import.

The main problem lies with European laws regarding weapons, and especially German laws, which are even stricter. In all cases, you must involve an intermediary, provided the seller is willing to export the weapon outside his country, and particularly outside the EU. This is not always the case, as he also have to take several steps.

Here, for example, is such an intermediary.

So here is a perfect example of what not to do on egun.

I needed an R8 375 H&H magazine.

I bought one on Egun for 50 Euros.

It cost me 50Euros plus

1. a 50Euro export permit
2. a 30 Euros for shippping
3. a 15$ USD transfer fee

So about $180 later and 3 months and I got the magazine in the mail.

They came back in stock on Euro Optics and new ones were $180.

Even now living in Germany Egun is a major pain in the ass.

It seems Frankonia always has brass and ammo for sale.
For brass you need a German “connection”. I believe they can buy the brass only without a firearms licence and then ship it to you.

The odds are really low that is legal.

I would defer to an actual German, I have a German hunting license and live in Germany but I can't see how that would be legal without a German firearms export permit.

Brass itself is not subject to German Firearm Legislation. Can be bought by anyone.

Can it be shipped though?

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
