Anyone have any experience reloading the 577? My new double was recently completed and i'm awaiting delivery. I'm completely new to reloading NE cartridges and would love some advice.

Thanks everyone
MC

What ammo was your double regulated with? Who made your rifle?
Do you have the dies and components to start loading?
Have you read Greame Wright's Shooting the British rifle book? It has a wealth of knowledge on loads and load development.
What experience do you have loading for standard bolt action rounds?

It was regulated with LFB, a German manufacturer that I can't get ahold of here in the states. I have experience reloading my 3006, but not any NE cartridges. I also haven't been able to get ahold of a copy of Greame Wrights book...

Loading the NE rounds is similar to loading straight walled cases like a 45/70. Very straight forward loading procedures.

No loading to match the factory rounds the rifle was regulated with can be straight forward to a bad word inducing experiences.

It will be easier to walking you through the basic principals of getting your reloads to work in the rifle with several phone calls. If possible get the information on the rounds used for regulation. IE What case, (RWS or Norma etc) what bullets both soft and solid (Woodleigh's swift etc) and the velocity of the round (actual from a chrongraph would be best but manufactures information off the box will goive a starting point) Then a list of what case, bullets you plan on using. then can start to from a plan for load development.

Who is the manufacture of your double?

when you have the information above send me a PM with a number you can be reached and I will give you a call and we can talk through loading for your double.

I hope you ordered a Heym, that would probably indicate mine will be completed soon as well! I’m at 15 months and counting!

I’ve reloaded several rounds for my rifle, but haven’t been able to fire them yet. I have lots of data, including Graham’s book. I’d be happy to share the data I have with you, just send me a pm with your email and any specific data you’d like.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
