These high auctions prices are caused by states giving away supremely valuable trophy animals through the draw system. Socialism versus Capitalism. My sour grapes are that I won't live long enough to draw a bighorn sheep and unless I win the lottery will never be able to afford one!

Wild ones might act a lot different. But getting a permit to hunt them in China just may cost you a lot more than a Antelope Island mule deer tag.

I also share a similar positive sentiment towards this entrepreneur. Through their efforts, they've built a successful corporation and now actively support conservation efforts. If the business offers quality products, supporting its initiatives is not just a way to enjoy their offerings but also contributes to the development of local business and environmental preservation. I'm also looking forward to returning there again!

I got a first hand review of exactly what happened in Namibia from his PH that was with him. No wrong doing, just a lot of misinformation based on agendas. Mostly by jealous hunters, unfortunately.

Yes, it's like in a movie when the main character, upon seeing someone's clear purpose and dedication, decides to join their cause. It's that moment when the character, despite initial doubts, feels a strong desire to support someone who is truly devoted to an important cause.

I recently watched a film that illustrates a similar situation - "Jerry Maguire". In this film, the main character, a sports agent, finds a new purpose in his life by supporting his clients not only as athletes but also as individuals with their ideas and values. Anyway, that's just my personal opinion.

Some thoughts to keep in mind about these "conservation charity" hunts.... They do funnel a very large shot of cash into sometimes very narrow, ear-marked programs. They massage the egos of the very few who can participate. They tend to alienate avarage hunters who are the backbone of grassroots conservation political clout.

fourfive8: They don’t “alienate me”, I can NOT resent a wealthy guy that can afford a $$Million dollar Hunt just because I can Not….same way I can NOT resent an average Hunter that has No special skills and None above my own — but LUCKS Into a WORLD RECORD Whitetail….good for them, Milo Hanson was Not an accomplished Wolrd Class Hunter but he killed the World Record Whiitetail Deer 30 years ago and “good for him” he deserves it as much as anyone - even as much as ME
