I own a 416Rigby and find it an absolute pleasure to shoot. Recently I looked at the 350 Rigby and
fell in love with the case and caliber. But after some studies found very little information
on the caliber and the little there was, was outdated. The closest to modern loads I could find was
loads developed for old rifles so to duplicate point of impact with their open sights. The original specs
is also far from impressive with a 225gr bullet only achieving 2450ft/sec. The data available
works around 46000psi, what the Rigby designed it to be. But is it possible to push the 225gr safely
to at least 2700ft/sec? For the case is very spacious and modern action can safely handle 60000 psi.
Is there anybody with experience with this caliber? Please no other caliber suggestions, its 350 or nothing.
I am not interested in 333, 318, etc.!

hi andries i have the last .350 rigby paul roberts built before he sold the company to rogue river or whoever they were in california. when i heard he was selling i phoned him and he had one ser no left in .350 so i ordered it. the only ammunition i have used though is kynamco/kynoch factory loads and i think their load goes out at about 2625 fps , so not too far off what you are looking at. i know it worked well on a zebra and kudu. maybe if you emailed david little at kynoch/kynamco he might be able to give you some info.

andries, Federal ammunition advertises their 35Whelen VITAL-SHOK ammo with a 225gr. TBBC leaving the muzzle at 2600fps, at 100yards 2350fps, so on and so forth, (got a box sitting right here in front of me as matter of fact). I know these are just advertised velocities but, my assumption would be that the 350 Rigby could easily produce the velocity you are looking for. Sounds like a fantastic caliber from the little reading I have done on it. Good luck.

SpikeT, you knew I would post here, can't resist.:p

Just did a quick google search and this article is mentioned several times: .350 Magnum Rigby - Peter Carr, It is mentioned several times that the loads listed are not maximum. Hope it is some help. Good read regardless.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
