Raising a wine glass filled with an old vintage for all my brother hunters who seek to take more from life than life takes from them. Onward and upwards!
I’ve eaten plenty of moose meat but from loose that were hit by vehicles. A winch on my deck over trailer helps with road kill. One of my bucket list items is to taste moose meat. It is the only hunt outside Scotland and Africa that temps me. I could be easily tempted to go to Canada to hunt one
@Rare Breed, moose is some of the finest wild game I’ve ever eaten. Right up there with eland. Calling one in during the rut is about as exciting and action packed as a hunt can be. You wouldn’t regret a proper moose hunt for sure. One of my bucket list items is to taste moose meat. It is the only hunt outside Scotland and Africa that temps me. My plans changed drastically. Due to family and health issues.Any body have any plans changed?
Mine changed up some as of now.
I accomplished more than anticipated with Bos en Dal this June 2024. With the Rhino dart hunt.
2025 and 2026 are break from Africa. Work, save and get healthy.
Dalton York hunt bumped to May 2027 now with 18-21 days in Omay. Leopard, Tuskless, Hippo, Hyena, Buff, plus some plains game I still need. This will be a trip of a lifetime if all comes together!
My update
2022 - successful RSA and Namibia Trip. Punched the bull elk tag I drew in NM
2023 - RSA x2, decided to eat the mule deer tag I drew and jump on an end of season Ele hunt that I leave for shortly
2024 - Still hoping to drew either a Moose or Goat Tag in Alaska and some other states. Probably taking a year off from Africa. If I don’t draw anything across the board, I’ll look at Ibex in Spain or Red Deer somewhere.
2025 - Same as 2024 and save so I can do a Sheep on 2026 or 2027 and plan Tuskless for the off year
