I have no ownership or interest in this auction, I simply saw it on a pop up ad this morning and passing it on to anyone who might be interested. Looks like the steering wheel is on the left and appears to be in decent shape. The color reminds me of the color a lot of US Forest Service vehicles were painted.

Shame the wheel is on the wrong side :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I would love to know what it goes for.

All you would need is a land cruiser to pull it to the Land Rover Dealer when it breaks down!

No dealer required thats old school you can fix that yourself

All it needs is another 150-200K USD and it's drivable.
So true. Spent a couple of years looking for the right Defender - eventually decided the old girl in my avatar made a lot more sense. :A Way To Go:

I have had land rovers for many years now and they have never let me down. You just have to maintain them thats all

I used to have an Austin Gypsy, which was Austin's version of the Land Rover. If it wasn't high centered it could go - didn't matter the depth of the snow.

I knew that would stir you up Mani!

Owned a 75 model Santana 109, Spanish clone.

Spent a lot of time in a 110 and 130 in Africa, Australia and Europe.

Ergonomically I'd rather have a F350 crew cab. But they look cool, even though they are small.

My Toyota Sequoia goes anywhere I point it on 32 inch BFG's and gets 20 miles to the gallon.

Wasn't the Land Rover, the Anti Christ, in the excellent movie, The Gods Must Be Crazy, one of these?

I have a 1993 Toyota Landcruiser HZJ73 diesel if you need a tow...

I had one that same color an early IIA 109, neat rig but mine was a shop car. I suspect it had been abused before I got it. Still love that model though.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
