Texas, Louisiana, South Africa,
I came across this gem on Gunbroker and couldn’t pass it up. It had a buy now on it for only $1500. Surprised no one else on this forum had picked it up already.
Winchester Model 70 Classic Super Grade 338 win mag. New Haven Manf. Dates mid 1990s. 1996-97 best can get idea on. Really great condition with good wood. Came with Zeiss Davari C 3-9 on it.
Will change scopes and make a trip to Africa after a little work on it.
Just wanted to share with you all.

Nice catch. If you aren't including DG, that gun could cover everything.

That’s the plan. No DG as of now next year and the only DG I plan on in future is Leopard and think it will be perfect for that.

Congrats on a great calibre gun.

Why would you swap the Scope, just asking?
For PG and Leopard. I am switching it out to
Leupold VX5 Gen2 3-15x50 fire dot duplex.

The Zeiss will be listed soon in classifieds.

Sold a 375 and bought a 338. You're going the wrong direction turn around. Just kidding, great purchase!
Not really.
Any big DG from now on I still have my CZ AHR #2. 458 Lott. That’s all I been using lately. Needed a companion for the Winchester 70 New Haven 300 win I have made in about same time era. . At least that’s my excuse.

Yep. Saw that one when I was looking for my Pre-64 Model 70 in .338 Win Mag. Almost pulled the trigger but I had my heart set on a Pre-64. Great rifle for the price. Congrats.

Wow, what an awesome pick-up.
Beautiful rifle and chambered in one of the most versatile and effective cartridges ever developed.
I shot my very first buffalo, here in Aus, way back in the early 90's with a .338
Not something I'd do now, but it worked.

I picked up a similar vintage NH stainless synthetic .300 Wm, not long ago, for $900.
I was thinking it may be toast so I took the risk and had the barrel re-profiled to make it lighter for mountain hunting. When I got it back I took it to the range and proceeded to shoot 3/4" at 200yds with factory ammo !!!!

Lots of happy hunting in your future with that one.

Good Evening. I am very interested in you hunt for the spiral slam. March in 2028 would be fine for me

Couple of quick questions:

1) Can we add some additional species on
2) what do you want for a deposit?
3) how do you want me to sign up

I'm on whats app or email

I think forum prohibits making reference or giving personal references to PH/Outfitters that don't advertise on this forum.

But you can call me. I would be happy to discuss Cape Buffalo .
