Matt85, question for clarification, which I’m sure I know the answer to but still want to check , is that gram (gr) or grain (gn) measurement.
Gumpy
75gr semi spitzer with IMR3031 powder, CCI #41 primer(NATO/milspec) and Lake City brass.
Excellent in both 10” suppressed 1:8 barrel as well as 16” 1:9
Finally got some live target testing and results were better than expected; I’m not used to a 5.56 hitting with this much authority.
Entrance wound shot from elevated blind

Not a big pig by any means, but there is no testing media like live flesh and bone.
I hear you on the H- 870.Caught a break in the rain last evening and fired the last two loaded rounds for the old 1959 Winchester model 70 Westerner in 264 WM off the back porch post at a couple double fist sized rocks on a ditch bank a couple hundred yards away, the 140gr Speer Grand Slams leaving out at 3215 fps found the dry powder inside those wet rocks ; ]
Went to the load shop early this morning and sized 100 sticks of old once fired W-W Super brass.
Chamfered the necks, cleaned primer pockets
Popped in FED-215 primers
Poured in 77grs of good old H-870 powder
COL 3.300"
VEL av 3215 fps
This load report may not be helpful to any as the 264 WM is not very popular and H-870 has been out of production for years.
Point being, that old 264 loves that powder and bullet, yes it smokes, burns dirty, gets horrible fuel mileage and is not a temp stable powder, it will lay three into a half inch year after year, ridiciously predictable, whitetail deer and wild pigs have been immediately dispatched out to 250 yards with no bullet recoveries to date.
That old stuff worked in days long gone by, it still works today, even the old gloss Leupold friction adjusted 3.5-10x40 AO scope, it never moves.
H-414 is simply Winchester 760 if he needs to buy some new powder.I hear you on the H- 870.
I had a friend come by yesterday and was looking for some H-414
for a old 30/06 load he loves .
I had one pound left just gave it to him I did not really need it.
The can was from the early 50's and Had never been opened L.O.L.
