In the latest anti-victim news I'm passing this on from today's Dave Ramsey show:

Scenario: A presently 24 year old man and his 22 year old wife. Dated since they were 14. Married at 19 and 21. Their occupation was berry picking until adults. The guy's education is a skilled trade certificate, she has a degree in financial planning, they paid for it out pocket as they went.

They paid off their mortgage in 22 months, $140k. They renovated it on the side. Their house is worth $250k.

All his income paid for life, hers paid off the mortgage.

They lived beneath their means, they bought a house with a $1200 mortgage payment.

If they now save that $1200 a month into the total market, they'll be worth $16m USD by the time he's 67.

This is what winners look like. No prestige degree. No debt. No job beneath them. Married young and on the same page in life. No whining on how life is hard and they can never get ahead.

I work with AI regularly and I've been involved with data centers for about 30 years now.

What I will say is a balanced concern on these topics:

1.) The fomented outrage about AI data centers was bankrolled by the Chicoms. Our enemies REALLY want us to lose the "space race" for compute capacity. Most people don't realize that the loser of this race is going to be serfs in the next generation global economy.

2.) AI needs regulation. Trump can be right about "accelerate, research, enhance" and also be wrong by not demanding basic AI regulation. The key regulation elements would be "Prohibited use of AI for certain data types, mission critical purposes" and "AI must have searchable logging to understand how AI makes its inferences".

AI is advancing so fast, to increase velocity the AI developers are reducing logging visibility to increase speed of processing. That is very dangerous because you would not be able to understand how AI concludes something such as "all humans must die" or "I must continue to exist at all costs, even human costs".

Congress sucks so this regulatory framework will never happen. We're still third world savages with no Federal Privacy regulation unlike the UK and Europe that have human rights for your personally identifiable information as a data subject.

A poster suggested that only leftists were outraged or upset by the $5000 promise. I pointed out, using an advanced technique called sarcasm, that DeSantis thought it was a bad idea.

If you don't get sarcasm you should not set foot in a political discussion.

I was called to the bar before the turn of the century by almost a decade. But my legal alma mater, UFO, as we lovingly call her, switched pretty late if I recall.

Good grief. What a crybaby. Give it up Trump. I mean really. What do you think you'll accomplish with all this monument-building to yourself? The next administration will just remove it all. Lake Ontario will get it's name back too and probably sooner than the next presidential election. Minneapolis could rename its sewage treatment pond Trump Lake. That's one name change that would probably stick (and stink) ... forever.

His Royal Zaniness pops up on Google home page almost every day. Anyone who reads the news anywhere will get smothered with Trump foolishness on the front page. Doesn't take a concerted effort. Actually, it takes some significant effort to not see his stupid antics. Like driving with your eyes closed.
