There was a great sense of unity after 9/11. One that I miss very much. One of my memories is that it made all of us remember that we have more in common than not. Posts like this are antithetical to that sentiment.

We have problems with art, music and any form of recreation.

Israel is such a small part of the Middle East; full of people who just want to live, but we act as if they’re our oppressors.

If you want to save the rest of the civilized world, the immigration of Muslim (especially from Shariah law governed countries) must be stopped. They must be deported. They have the audacity to seek refuge in America, Europe & Australia and then DEMAND that those countries abandon their civilized culture in favor of the evil of Shariah. It's like a guest coming to your house and deciding what everybody eats for dinner.

During 9/11, I was sickened by how many people in our part of the world cheered when thousands of innocent people in New York city were killed for merely existing and trying to live their lives peacefully.

We cheer when Muslims kill non-Muslims for merely existing. But we cry "Islamophobia" when people get fed up of us and decide to fight back.

My squadron VAQ-135 The World Famous Black Ravens were embarked on the USS Carl Vinson. We had left port in Singapore that morning, and I woke up in the afternoon on night ops. Our birthing was mid-ship on the 3rd deck. We had a weird situation as there was a ladder well (stairs) that went from the O-1 Hangar deck to the 2nd deck where the galley was, and our bathroom was directly above us up the stairs. In the ladder area was a TV with the news playing and I woke up to take a shower. The birthing space was shared by E-5 and E-6 salors. I was an E-6 at the time and there was another E-6 watching the news and commented that the World Trade Center was on fire, and an aircraft hit it. I went and took a shower and came back down just in time to see the other tower hit. Then the pentagon then another airplane was reported down. I got dressed and went to eat and went to the squadron line shack where I was the night shift flight deck coordinator. We were flying Carrier Landing Qualifications missions just like we did after every port call to maintain pilot readiness. So I suited up to be on the flight deck and catch and launch aircraft. A few minutes after I got there the Captain of the ship came on and said that America was under attack.

We flew the very first missions into Afghanistan at first from an airfield in the Himalayas that Pakistan gave us. Then resumed doing it from the ship as the tanker tracks were not set up to accommodate us . I spent the next the next 8 years on sea duty because I felt like they had taken something from me that I couldn't get back. Following sea tours in VQ-2 and VPU-1 deployed the entire time to the greater sand box.

Been retired a long time. That day in 2001 was insane. I didn't know anyone who worked at the Pentagon, but I lost a lot of friends in Afghanistan and Iraq fighting these wars.
