Good evening everyone. New here but was referred by Bradshaw Rifles to come poke around this forum for some speciality Brass for a friend of mine. I’m American but live full time in Africa and was asked for a few more difficult caliber brass. Can anyone recommend either a forum member of shop to locate some more rare brass?

Cheers MGV

I would imagine that none of them would export to SA as that would require an export permit under the ITAR. Best bet is to have someone coming bring it for you.

That’s generally the snag with brass going out of the U.S. — even empty cases can fall under export controls, so most retailers won’t touch an international shipment unless they’re set up for it.

For South Africa, I’d also suggest checking with a local firearms dealer or importer who already handles components, as they may be able to bring it in properly with their normal paperwork. Having someone “bring it along” can also involve customs/import rules on the SA side, so it’s worth confirming before anyone travels with it.

It’s actually for the owner of a reloading company. It’s his personal weapon and he hasn’t been able to locate from any of his suppliers. He deals with imports regularly so getting it into won’t be the issue just need to source the components for him.

Sent you a link to the brass on Raven Rocks Precision.

It’s actually for the owner of a reloading company. It’s his personal weapon, and he hasn’t been able to locate the parts through any of his usual suppliers. He deals with imports regularly, so getting them into the country shouldn’t be the difficult part; the real issue is simply finding the correct components in the first place. Tropical Casino https://tropical-casino.com/ makes me think of the same problem with filters and game categories: if the exact option isn’t listed clearly, you can waste a lot of time checking things that are close but not actually right. At this point it’s really just about identifying the proper pieces.
Honestly Blake already nailed the right move here. Him being an established importer helps with the logistics, but the export-control snag is on the US side, not the SA side, so "getting it in" isn't really the bottleneck. Empty brass leaving the States can fall under those rules, and a US retailer still won't ship it internationally unless they're specifically set up and licensed to handle that.

The clean path is to let a licensed dealer/importer who already brings in components handle it end to end, with the proper paperwork on both sides, rather than trying to work around the US export side. Anyone sourcing it privately or "bringing it along" is the version most likely to go sideways. Not worth the headache when doing it through the right channel is an option.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
