These are fantastic bullets. I used them on an on land hippo in 2023 and one of the recovered bullets looked like it could have been cleaned up and reloaded. If I was still in the 404 Jeffery game, I'd be all over these. I use these in .416 in my 416 Rem and they performed flawlessly last year on an elephant.

I've had good results with the Barnes Flat nose solids in .458 and .470. A shame that Uncle Sam messed with them and forced Barnes to make so many of them with round noses nowadays.

As I understand it, a fews years back the ATF forced Barnes to stop solid production for a bit by claiming the armor peircing argument. After some time, they resumed production but with most of their calibers in solids being round nose. Barnes flat nose solids exist in some calibers like .470 I think, but not in 375, 416, 404 and 458. Someone can elaborate or correct me if I'm mistaken. I'm sure CEB and Northfork don't mind.
 
I actually talked to Barnes about this exact thing today. I wanted 416 solids with a flat nose and they only make round nose. They used to make these in flat nose.

Barnes told me that So many people complained about feeding problems in bolt action rifles with the flat nose that they started to make Them in round nose so they will feed better

For calibers that are mostly double rifles, like the 470 nitro express, they still make those in flat nose

As an aside, I was having occasional issues feeding 404 CEB flat nosed solids in my CZ. It’s with the gunsmith now having that issue resolved.

As far as I know my account has not been compromised and I have 15 bags left. I don't get on here every day so sometimes it may take 2-3 days for me to get back to someone. New member, no messages, no post, total fricking scam. A good use of artificial intelligence would be to figure out how to electrocute scammers by Email. I would have them dropping like flies.

I have communicated directly with prone Shooter and have assurances from other members that he’s a good guy to deal with. So this is Safe as long as you’re dealing directly with prone shooter

Thank you Andrew, I appreciate you reporting this. I've done business with 4 people in this thread and a 5th was our first transaction. I try hard to keep a good name on the internet, but it is getting harder as time goes by.
