Is anyone reloading with the Fox Classic Hunter bullets? What's the verdict?

Hi BC,

I am. Have a few boxes of 9,3 220 grs FOX bullets. Used them in my BRNO ZKK 600 9,3x62. Got 3 Red deer and a Fallow deer. Like this bullet. Can get 2800 f/s in the 60 cm barrel of my rifle with R15, NORMA or RWS cases.
FOX at the top. The other two are 250 grs Hornady GMX and Barnes TTSX.

I have started to use the 100gr fox classics in my 6.5x55 and so far I am very happy. Very happy with the accuracy and very happy with the results on the roe deer I've shot so far. I also load the 250gr fox classics in my 375H&H, so far its the most accurate bullet I have loaded for my 375 and I am hoping to use it on plainsgame next year.

@Clodo Ferreira were you satisfied with the terminal performance of the bullet? I am curious how it stood up to the Barnes and Hornady offerings in your picture above.

I ask because I am in the process of acquiring a 9.3x62 and fancy this bullet as a bit of a do-it-all for Red Deer at home and plains game up to kudu/oryx sizes on a trip I have booked for next year.

I use the 130 gr in my 7x57 and am very pleased with the accuracy and terminal performance.

Hi Red Stag,

I think the 9,3 FOX 220 grs is, indeed, a do-it-all bullet for medium game! As is the Barnes TTSX 250 grs! I would use either with total confidence ! If you want, or can, use a lead core bonded, to me there are none better than the Nosler Accubond 250 grs! Also love this bullet.
In a good rifle with 60 cm (23,6) barrel, you can get 2750 f/s with the 220 FOX, and 2600 f/s with eiter of the 250 grs. With essentially the same performance on medium game.
If you want to use only one bullet for your Red Deer and African plains game, perhaps I would chose any of the 250 grs. The BC of both is great and compensates for the slightly higher MV of the FOX.

Good luck!

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
